Red carpet wedding brings extra romance to Patrick’s premiere

Star of romcom Made Of Honour Patrick Dempsey was faced with an added romantic element at the movie’s New York premiere on Monday when a competition-winning couple exchanged their vows on the red carpet.

“I’m sure they’re going to remember this for the rest of their lives!” laughed Patrick because bride Michelle Golightly and groom Shaun Bollinger tied the knot. The couple beat 1,800 hopefuls to win an online competition with a prize of an all-expenses paid wedding in New York, plus a honeymoon in Europe.

The hunky Grey’s Anatomy actor, who in the film plays a man who tries to seduce an engaged pal after she asks him to be a maid of honour at her wedding, attended the screening with his own wife of eight years Jillian.

Author Geri Halliwell presents her ‘inner brat’ Ugenia

Geri Halliwell introduced her cartoon heroine Ugenia to children at a reading at London Zoo on Sunday. Her audience was the first to hear about the adventures of the mischievous, freckled schoolgirl, who is the star of the Spice Girl’s debut children’s book.

The fledgling children’s author began Ugenia Lavender, the first in a series of six books, when she was pregnant with daughter Bluebell Madonna, who turns two on May 14.

And the singer is stressing all about her own work. “I know there is a prejudice again celebrity authors, but if you read my stories you’ll know they’re not ghostwritten – only that I could be bonkers,” quips the talented mum.

Geri readily presents Ugenia – who’s the daughter of a dinosaur expert and TV presenter – her alter-ego or, as she puts it, “my inner brat”.

The little girl’s struggle to make friends at a new school are based on the 35-year-old’s own experiences in Watford, seeing off playground bullies and her “fantastic memories of playing kiss chase with the boys”.

Billie Piper three-months pregnant with first baby

A friend to Billie has confirmed that Billie Piper is expecting her first child with actor Hubby Laurence Fox.

Speculation began after Hubby was seen strolling along a beach in Mauritius tenderly stroking her tummy. Now it has been revealed that the 25-year-old is three-months pregnant, and she and her Lewis star love are delighted.

“Billie and Laurence are both absolutely over the moon,” the friend told . “They are stunned as they only wed on New Year’s Eve. But they can’t wait to be parents to their little Fox.”

Both families were told by the happy couple before they jetted off to the Indian Ocean resort for their romantic holiday, a friend told.

Swindon-born Billie Piper is said to dream of having “a big brood of kids running around barefoot in the Sussex home with chickens”.

Also playing a part in that dream is ex-hubby Chris Evans. The popular blonde actress has reportedly told close friends in the past that she think the radio DJ would be a “great godfather” to any children that she and Laurence have.

Madonna presents film on charity mission that led to son’s adoption

Madonna’s new documentary on Malawi is clearly designed to draw attention to the poverty-stricken nation’s plight and help to its people.

An phonecall set Madonna on a life-changing mission of mercy to Malawi, the African country from which the queen of pop would eventually adopt a child. The singer presented I Am Because We Are, the documentary she produced after Malawian businesswoman Victoria Keelan called, begging her to help the nation’s impoverished AIDS orphans.

“She said it was a state of emergency,” Madonna explains in the film, which she presented at New York’s Tribeca film festival this week. “She sounded exhausted and on the verge of tears. I asked her how I could help.

“Victoria said: “You’re a person with resources. People pay attention to what you say and do.” I felt embarrassed. I told her I didn’t know where Malawi was. She told me to look it up on a map,” recounts the 4 Minutes star.

In one of the most emotional segments of the film, Madonna recalls the moment she first set eyes on her adoptive son David Banda, who was being cared for at an orphanage.

“If I was challenging other people to open up their hearts, then I had to stand at the front of the line,” reveals the pop dynamo, who has two other children. “I decided to try and adopt him.”

Daniel Radcliffe’s Mystery girl revealed

After locking eyes with a mystery lady at Australia’s film industry awards in December 2006, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe put out an appeal with an Aussie newspaper to find my mystry girl. Now the gorgeous blond has been revealed as Cassi McKay, a 20-year-old insurance worker from Sydney.

Actor Daniel say that he struggles to find a girlfriend because he is wary of “gold diggers”, revealed this week that after spotting the pretty stranger backstage at the awards he wandered around for an hour “like some sad pathetic dweeb” as he tried to find her.

Interesting thing is that CassiMcKay has already a boyfriend in her homeland. She says she would love to meet up with the wizard actor to say hello when she visits London later in the year. “I’ve read all the Harry Potter books and I’m a big fan,” she said. “I was a bit star struck. It was like he cast a spell on me.”

It seems that the ladies have a magnetic attraction to the hunky 18-year-old actor. Savannah Blout, a 23-year-old brunette saxophonist from Melbourne, has also come forward to claim the title of Daniel’s mystery woman. “He was quite lovely,” she revealed. “He was very charming and polite.”

Megan Fox crowned sexiest woman in FHM list

According to FHM magazine, Megan Fox is the sexiest woman in the world. The “Transformers” co-star tops FHM’s annual 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll of FHM readers. The 21-year-old model-actress beat out the likes of Angelina Jolie (No. 12), Rihanna (No. 14), Kim Kardashian (No. 17), Paris Hilton (No. 77) and last year’s champion, Jessica Alba (No. 3).

Fox was first time on the annual list in 2006 at No. 68 and than, ranked at No. 65 in 2007. Joining her in the top 10 this year are( in descending order) Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Elisha Cuthbert, Scarlett Johansson, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Hilary Duff, Tricia Helfer, Blake Lively and Kate Beckinsale. Britney Spears came in last place at No. 100.

Current “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Shannon Elizabeth (No. 46) returned to this ranking who is absent last year, joining professional dancers Cheryl Burke (No. 40) and Karina Smirnoff (No. 78).
The women from MTV’s “The Hills” duke it out on the list with Heidi Montag (No. 44) beating out Audrina Patridge (No. 80) and Lauren Conrad (No. 95).

Kelly Clarkson sheds good-girl image, clothes

Kelly Clarkson, “American Idol” winner, is reportedly shedding more than just her good-girl image. She’s also shedding her clothes at home, regardless of company .

According to her close source , the Grammy-winning pop star enjoys walking around her home in the buff, no matter the circumstances. That would include not just when close friends are around, but even when her home is “filled with strangers for photo shoots or fittings,” reports the magazine.

Why? “I just really like being naked,” the “American Idol” star tells visitors with an apologetic shrug, according to the magazine.

Elizabeth steps back into a bikini to launch her new swimwear range

A few years ago Elizabeth Hurley proclaimed she would never again be seen eating her lunch in a bikini, nor strolling the beach with her midriff showing. Now, she forgets her statement and back into a two-piece, though, in a series of stunning shots to launch her own designs for a High Street store.
The sultry pictures paint the mum-of-one on the deck of a boat in a selection of the colourful creations she designed for Mango. And they show that at 42, Elizabeth looks better than ever, though she has admitted in an interview to accompany the shots that she enlisted the expertise of “nice photographers” and a little digital enhancement.

she said “I like a certain amount of retouching like anybody,.”

“I don’t have professional Photoshop, just the one that comes with your camera. Every time I download my holiday snaps, I always go over them. Just the red eye and the colour enhancement. I don’t do any slimming because you need a silly programme – but the colour enhancing is heaven.

“Vanity retouching – who wouldn’t?”

Even if the pictures have been retouched slightly they suggest Elizabeth has fulfilled on the promise she made in a 2005 interview to “go to ground and annoy everyone by emerging thinner, sexier and mentally cleansed”.

Britney making 2nd appearance on ‘Mother’

When Neil Patrick Harris clarified his stance regarding Britney Spears’ role in “How I Met Your Mother,” saying yes, he did want her back on the show, some insiders saw the move as solid evidence that negotiations with the pop star return were definitely going well.

That speculation turns out to be true. It is reported over the weekend that Spears is indeed heading back to prime time: “The show is ecstatic and so is Britney. She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back,” an insider told .

However, there are members of the Spears camp who aren’t so ecstatic. “Sure, she had a fun time, but it wasn’t about a comeback,” said a source. “It was about getting her on the road to being better. The last thing we want is a new element of fame for her to have to deal with.”

The March 24 episode that featured Spears drew more than 10 million viewers — about a million more than the prior week’s episode. The episode also generated the largest audience of age group 18-to-49 range in the show’s three-year history.

Tom and Katie talk up their ‘loving relationship’ ahead of Suri’s big day

Dismissing reports of problem in their marriage, the Hollywood couple ,Tom-Katie, are concentrating on enjoying family time this weekend.

Normally happy to let their warm displays of public affection do the talking, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have taken the unusual step of defending their relationship amid hurtful speculation about the union in the American press.

Responding to a magazine report that the Batman Begins actress was seeking a trial separation, a spokesman said: “Katie and her husband enjoy a close and loving relationship.”

The article claimed Katie- who’s been married to the Hollywood heavyweight since November 2006 – was planning to leave their LA home and move to New York with toddler Suri. According to article, Kate is keen to pursue her acting career on the Broadway stage.

This weekend the movie duo will have plenty of opportunity to put the rumours behind them as they celebrated the birthday of little Suri, who turns two on April 18.
