Lawyer says Spears is ‘not yet fit’ for court

Britney Spears is not yet fit to participate in court proceedings., her lawyer has told a Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner.

Samuel Ingham, Spears’ court-appointed attorney, and attorneys for the pop star’s father and conservator, James Spears, spent 90 minutes in Commissioner Reva Goetz’ chambers Thursday.

Ingham told the court afterward that Spears’ medical condition is “fluid” because her treatment is changing.

Spears’ probate case is scheduled to go to trial July 31, but Ingham said it could be “harmful” for her to participate. Goetz agreed and said Spears’ diagnosis is not complete.

The 26-year-old singer and her estate have been under the conservatorship of her father for four months.

Ashlee Simpson, Pete Wentz expecting baby

Newly weds Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz say they are expecting first child.

“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child,” statement on Wentz’s blog. “This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

Simpson-Wentz, 23, and Fall Out Boy bassist Wentz, 28, exchanged vows earlier this month at Simpson’s parents’ Los Angeles-area home. Sister Jessica was the maid of honor.

The newlywed pop singer changes her name to Ashlee Wentz in private and professionally as Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, according to a report .

The couple began dating in fall 2006 and announced their engagement April 9.

Simpson-Wentz’s latest album, “Bittersweet World,” was released last month. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in its first week, and tracks have logged more than 19 million plays on her MySpace page.

Bluebell’s birthday party and brave Trisha’s new ‘do exclusively in HELLO!

Geri Halliwell’s daughter Bluebell has turned two, the Spice Girl has marked the occasion with a wonderful Alice In Wonderland-theme party and shared live with HELLO! magazine readers.

The party was placed in a 16th-century mansion that featured lop-eared bunnies, several stuffed toys and white-horse chess pieces. The guest of honour weared as a fairy princess. The showbiz dynamo said that she is her little fairy princess and it’s like a magic wand that was created when she entered into my life.

Trisha Goddard also discloses the new crop she has taken as defiance against her breast cancer diagnosis.The day-time TV presenter said that this was my way of placing two fingers up at the situation. She thought that the idea of going blonde has come to her from her hubby Peter Gianfrancesco. She admits,’’Its like dressing my hair with proud.’’ Moreover, she will consistently to film her Channel 5 show dressing a wig..

Excitement high as ‘Sex’ returns to the city for New York premiere

A pink carpet dispersed with faux diamonds had been laid out, vertigo-inducing Manolos had been slipped on and screaming fans have gathered in thousands. The scene was set for the premiere of moive the Sex And The City in New York.

Sarah Jessica Parker explained the atmospher at the Radio City Music Hall as ‘enthreal’. The leading lady said,’’ It was one of the memorable nights of my career.’’- who enjoyed her cocktail –slipping character’s reputation for wonderful dressing in a silver Nina Ricci gown.

Co-start Cattrall was looking gorgeous in a metaalic Vivienne Westwood dress, while Kristin Davis was wonderful in a gold prom-style Donna Karan affair. New entance Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant in the movie, Jennifer Hudson has also slipped on a sparkling gold number.

And it wasn’t only the actresses who were sparkling at the screening that was attended by Donald Trump and his wife Melania. The series’ Mr Big, Chris Noth –– was greeted equally exhilerated and said “This is like a party!”.

Julia and Danny enjoy Rome together while filming new movie

There was a advantage for Julia Roberts in having cameraman husband Danny Moder working behind the scenes on her latest movie. It meant the couple were able to explore romantic Rome together during breaks in filming on the spy thriller Duplicity, in which the Hollywood beauty stars alongside Clive Owen.

The 40-year old actress-mother of three, dressed in a pretty floral dress and a pair of on-trend wedges, strolled hand in hand with her husband of five years through the historical surroundings. They were visited the Pantheon – originally built as a temple to the gods of Ancient Rome and the oldest standing domed structure in the city – just one of Rome’s numerous must-see attractions.

Other important sights include the Forum, the Trevi Fountain – which had a starring role in 1953 Audrey Hepurn vehicle Roman Holiday – the Spanish Steps and St Peter’s Basilica.

Family and friends pay tribute to slain ‘Harry Potter’ actor Robert

A British teenage actor playing a minor role in the upcoming Harry Potter film was stabbed to death outside a Kent nightclub in London on Saturday.18-year-old Harry Potter actor Robert Knox was trying to defend his younger brother from a man with a knife.

Knox plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in the upcoming film “Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince”, the sixth installment of the Harry Potter series set for release in November.

Warner Bros., the studio that is producing the film, said it was shocked by the news.

His father have spoken out about the popular youngster described by his father as “an angel on Earth without wings”.

Sally and Colin Knox said they hope Robert’s screen profile – he appears in the new Harry Potter flick – will help highlight the increase in knife crime. “If it serves that purpose, then Robert will have done something else exceptional in his short life,” says Colin.

Madonna ‘to be given Malawi citizenship in thanks for her work’

Madona has homes in the US and Britain and now it seems the Queen of Pop has a new home. Malawi is said to give honourary citizenship to Madonna in recognition of her work there.

She is adopting her son David from the African country. The Four Minutes singer funds several orphanages in the land, feeding and educating thousands of youngsters. She is also setting up a girls’ school near the capital to help the underprivileged.

“We are proud as a country to be associated with such a megastar,” Billy Kaunda, Malawi’s deputy tourism and culture minister, was reported as saying.

“She will have freedom of all cities here. She won’t be bothered with issues like visas and other limitations.”

Madonna’s documentary on Malawi, I Am Because We Are, premiered in Cannes to great acclaim.

Cameron Diaz loses her crowning glory for new film

Cameron Diaz’s blonde locks are integral part to her sun-kissed beauty as her radiant smile and seductive green eyes. But she loses her locks for new film My Sister’s Keeper. The actress showed that even losing her crowning glory couldn’t reduce her silver screen glamour, though, as she went ‘bald’ for her new flick.

The ‘There’s Something About Mary’ star,Cameron was sporting the new look on the set of My Sister’s Keeper – which also stars Alec Baldwin and 12-year-old Little Miss Sunshine actress Abigail Breslin.

Those who prefer Cameron with a full blonde locks needn’t worry; her new look isn’t the result of a shaved head. The actress’ trademark tresses were hidden under a close-fitting make-up prosthesis in preparation for filming in Santa Monica.

Jennifer ‘weds’ on screen as real life romance blossoms

Jennifer Aniston was looking radiant as she filmed scenes for Marley And Me in a satin wedding dress. Her happy glow may have something to do with her current real life romance. The 39-year-old has been dating rocker John Mayer. It seems their fledgling relationship is going from strength to strength.

She’s fallen for him – hard!” reveals a pal of the actress, who was introduced to her 30-year-old beau by mutual friend Sheryl Crowe. “She’s usually pretty cautious when it comes to dating, but with John she’s decided to follow her gut feelings.”

Last week the actress was spotted canoodling with her new love beside a hotel pool in Miami. And the pair weren’t hiding their feelings at the wrap party for that part of the shoot, either. They spent the evening sharing lingering kisses and cuddling up to each other.

“Jen and John definitely want to spend more time together. They both seem very interested in seeing where this goes,” adds the pal.
