Megan Fox crowned sexiest woman in FHM list

According to FHM magazine, Megan Fox is the sexiest woman in the world. The “Transformers” co-star tops FHM’s annual 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll of FHM readers. The 21-year-old model-actress beat out the likes of Angelina Jolie (No. 12), Rihanna (No. 14), Kim Kardashian (No. 17), Paris Hilton (No. 77) and last year’s champion, Jessica Alba (No. 3).

Fox was first time on the annual list in 2006 at No. 68 and than, ranked at No. 65 in 2007. Joining her in the top 10 this year are( in descending order) Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Elisha Cuthbert, Scarlett Johansson, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Hilary Duff, Tricia Helfer, Blake Lively and Kate Beckinsale. Britney Spears came in last place at No. 100.

Current “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Shannon Elizabeth (No. 46) returned to this ranking who is absent last year, joining professional dancers Cheryl Burke (No. 40) and Karina Smirnoff (No. 78).
The women from MTV’s “The Hills” duke it out on the list with Heidi Montag (No. 44) beating out Audrina Patridge (No. 80) and Lauren Conrad (No. 95).

Author McCabe among IMPAC nominees

Winterwood’ by Irish author Patrick McCabe is among eight books shortlisted for this year’s International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.

‘Winterwood’ is full of raucous humour and savage satire. It taps deep into the old, dark, unseen places below the shiny surface of modern Ireland. It is McCabe’s most disturbing, original and accomplished novel yet.

The list was shortlist from a longlist of 137 novelists from 45 countries writing in 15 languages.

Among the other titles are three works of fiction set in the Middle East, as well as books by Russian, Spanish and Sri Lankan authors.

The IMPAC Award, which was initiated in 1994, managed by Dublin City Libraries and is worth €100,000 .It is the world’s most valuable literary prize for a single work of fiction published in English. Four of the final eight books are published in translation.

Works are nominated by participating libraries and can be written in any language provided it has also been published in English. Some 161 libraries in 121 cities nominated works.

After the success , Ne-Yo again came with a hit number with his second album that released singles last year “Because of You,” “Do You” and “Can We Chill” With Japanese pop star Utada Hikaru, a version of “Do You” was released by him.

He also worked with other artists, such as Fabolous on “Make Me Better” and Rihanna with “Hate That I Love You.”
