The 2008 ALMA Awards is among the most high-profile events on the Latino calendar, and it is so interesting that glamorous Eva Longoria was hosting this event this weekend.

But the Desperate Housewives star actress didn’t disappoint, because there are so much star-studded crowd in a series of different outfits and hairdos.

She enjoyed her role as host, and dance along to a performance by the Black Eyed Peas.

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera and Hips Don’t Lie songstress Shakira were also making an impact on the night.

Colombian chanteuse Shakira was honoured for her humanitarian efforts, and America scooped the coveted entertainer of the year gong for her role in the hit comedy.

After marrying with basketball star Tony Parker, Eva Longoria has been a familiar face courtside of basketball. Now the actress has travelled to France to watch the game in which her brother-in-law in action.

T.J. Parker was playing in Nancy, where his team is based, and Eva and Tony were not going to miss the excitement.

The couple were not the only members of the Parker family enjoying the game. Younger brother Pierre was also cheering his athletic sibling on, alongside dad Tony Senior, a former basketball player himself.

And it seems that all the support of his family helped T.J. on the court. His team defeated playoff rivals Lyon 104 to 89.

Eva kept her stylish, bright red coat buttoned up throughout the game, hiding any signs of the “bump” that earlier last week led to reports she was expecting her first child.
