Fans of Jessica Simpson seemed to have embraced her transition to country music after string of shaky live performances.

The album - Do You Know has debuted atop Billboard’s country chart which has been sold 65,000 copies since coming out last week — ranked No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200.

Simpson’s first single, “Come on Over,” hit No. 18 on the Hot Country Songs list last month.

Do You Know is Simpson’s sixth album. Her previous effort, A Public Affair, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2006 with 101,000 albums sold.

2004’s In This Skin was her highest ranking album, reaching No. 2 on the charts.

So why did Simpson decide to ditch pop for country?

“I am a country girl,” she told Billboard.com in December. “I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to. I always wanted to make a country album, but I wanted to wait until the time was right.”

She cited Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Reba McEntire as role models. “I think there is a strength in female country artists,” she added.

Jessica Simpson was put in the hot seat on Thursday’s The View, and she was giving answer a slew of TRUE or False questions from Barbara Walters.

Q.Moving in with Tony Romo?

Simpson said, “No comment, I gotta get used to saying that!”

Q.Pregnant?

Simpson said, “They must have me confused with my sister. I’m definitely not pregnant.”

Question also asked that if she has ever had to change her contact number and email address so ex boyfriends can’t contact her.

Simpson said , “True.”

This isn’t the first time she had said an interesting bit about her romance with Romo.

She said that she is in a better place now and not to afraid to speak publicly about her boyfriend. She said that she believes in love, and don’t afraid to say about her love.

Jessica Simpson said that he has played a great role in her life and that’s told in his favorite song on the record.

She added that she would not wearing the jersey to the game, but she will be there to support the Cowboys all the way.

Asking about why she decided to make the transition from pop to country, Simpson said that country was just something that’s in her bones and blood.

According to the sources, a critic slammed Jessica Simpson for frustrating performance in Ontario, Canada Wednesday.

John Law wrote in the Niagara Falls Review, that it’s very bad to call Jessica Simpson’s show at the Avalon Ballroom Wednesday a train wreck, because a train knows very well where it’s going.

Law said, that she’s is still living in a reality show, and she has convinced everyone is so fascinated with her personal life that they’d rather hear her talk than sing.

He also wrote that the main concert was like a therapy for her, because she explained in so much detail what every single song is about.

Simpson dedicated a song, “You’re My Sunday” , to her boyfriend Tony Romo.

She also told the crowd that she takes guarantee for this song, which smells like roses.

Law also included that it’s hard to take her seriously when she declares how much she loves her boyfriend.

Jessica Simpson has a contract to help Dallas-based Stampede Brewing sell its Stampede Light Plus beer, which the brewer says is Simpson’s new favorite.

According to a statement released, the company was looking for someone who upheld the values of healthy living, individuality and personal responsibility. Simpson was the obvious choice.

The collection of bras, undies, sleepwear and daywear will hit major department stores and online shopping sites just in time for spring ‘09.

Jessica tells Women’s Wear Daily, “I like different lingerie for different occasions. I think that’s the best thing about it. You can feel sexy or girly depending on your mood.”

She also promises to included a stylish assortment of shapewear so women no longer need to worry about panty lines.
