Minnie first baby is due in August. British actress Minnie Driver is making sure she is ready for the special event. She confirmed her pregnancy in March has hosted a baby shower on Saturday for around 40 guests.

Part hold at a friend’s home in Malibu. Home prettily decorated with pink and white flowers. Friends and family enjoyed basil lemonade and finger sandwiches as well as a special berry cake.

And bringing a more intimate aspect to the day, guests hand-painted babygros – or “onesies” in the US – for the little one as well as leaving personal messages for the mum-to-be in a special book.

Minnie, who “loves being pregnant more than anything”, has resisted the temptation to discover whether she is having a boy or a girl.She has said little about the father, except to reveal that he’s also British and “sort of in the same business”.

Nicole Kidman isn’t the only Hollywood lady to be loving pregnancy. Now, British The Riches star Minnie Driver was spotted proudly cradling her baby bump on the red carpet in New York.

Minnie, who is expecting her first child in August, could hardly keep her hands off her tummy. She also told about her feeling “really good, happy and healthy”, and is especially glad that she no longer has to worry about watching her figure. “It’s great just to be able to eat,” she enthuses. “There is no guilt. No guilt about anything.”
