A pink carpet dispersed with faux diamonds had been laid out, vertigo-inducing Manolos had been slipped on and screaming fans have gathered in thousands. The scene was set for the premiere of moive the Sex And The City in New York.

Sarah Jessica Parker explained the atmospher at the Radio City Music Hall as ‘enthreal’. The leading lady said,’’ It was one of the memorable nights of my career.’’- who enjoyed her cocktail –slipping character’s reputation for wonderful dressing in a silver Nina Ricci gown.

Co-start Cattrall was looking gorgeous in a metaalic Vivienne Westwood dress, while Kristin Davis was wonderful in a gold prom-style Donna Karan affair. New entance Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant in the movie, Jennifer Hudson has also slipped on a sparkling gold number.

And it wasn’t only the actresses who were sparkling at the screening that was attended by Donald Trump and his wife Melania. The series’ Mr Big, Chris Noth –– was greeted equally exhilerated and said “This is like a party!”.

Let me be the first to confess that, on paper, the very thought of production company Walden Media makes me lively. For one thing, it’s owned by Denver billionaire Philip Anschutz, who’s given lots of money to the Republican Party and to anti-gay causes like Colorado’s Amendment 2. Add to that the fact this mega-rich Christian conservative wants the films that come out of Walden “to be entertaining, but also to be life affirming and to carry a moral message” and all my warning buzzers blow up.

It helps, positively, that they’ve become one of the most reliable sources for great kids’ movies. In the last five years, the company has produced such modern classics as “Holes,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” (with the second “Narnia” movie, “Prince Caspian,” hitting theaters on May 16), “Charlotte’s Web,” “How to Eat Fried Worms,” “The Waterhorse,” “Bridge to Terabithia” and, an individual choice, “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium.”

Baby Mama presents the laughs non-stop. The story spotlights 37-year-old single business executive Kate Holbrook (Tina Fey), who unexpectedly discovers herself with strong maternal desires. But she is informed she has only a million in one possibility to conceive, disheartening news that sends her directly to a surrogacy organization whose pretentious possessor (Sigourney Weaver) hooks her up with Angie (Amy Poehler), a low-rent working young woman with a loser husband (Dax Shepard) who has decided she should become a surrogate as part of a get wealthy quick method. When Kate finds out that Angie is in fact pregnant, she set off arranging for the blessed arrival. But, much to her vexation, what she doesn’t expect is for Angie to land on her doorstep stating she has nowhere else to go. This sets up a female version of The Odd Couple as Angie’s trailer trash lifestyle conflicts frequently with Kate’s prearranged existence. Regardless of the dissimilarity, the unlikely duo learns to accept each other and start a tentative friendship all in the name of baby-to-be.

Catherine Zeta-Jones has come back in front of the camera for the first time in over a year to play the lead in new romantic comedy The Rebound. Fans in New York have been desperating for a glimpse of the Welsh beauty since filming kicked off in the US city last week.
In the movie, she plays a single mum who captures the heart of her young neighbour, played by handsome Michigan-born newcomer Justin Bartha.Movie will release next year.

While Zeta-Jones, the mum-of-two wife has been taking it easy on the work front. She’s now lining up plenty of projects to keep her busy in the near future. She’s about to appear in crime thriller Law Abiding Citizen, which will begin shooting this summer and is looking at portraying the lead in gangland drama Stompananto.

She’s also expected to join with husband Michael Douglas for adventure drama Racing The Monsoon,which is the second sequel to his hugely popular Eighties romance Romancing The Stone. The film will be shooted mainly on location in India, and will feature a cast made up of actors from the country.

Star of romcom Made Of Honour Patrick Dempsey was faced with an added romantic element at the movie’s New York premiere on Monday when a competition-winning couple exchanged their vows on the red carpet.

“I’m sure they’re going to remember this for the rest of their lives!” laughed Patrick because bride Michelle Golightly and groom Shaun Bollinger tied the knot. The couple beat 1,800 hopefuls to win an online competition with a prize of an all-expenses paid wedding in New York, plus a honeymoon in Europe.

Ashlee Simpson’s new album, “Bittersweet World,” has a sweet start. The release date,April 22 ,is fast approaching, Simpson faces competition she hadn’t been counting on —Mariah Carey.

Carey, who last week surpassed Elvis Presley,will release her new album, “E=MC2,” just days before Simpson, and that’s got the Simpson camp concerned.

“Ashlee needs to hit a home run with this album,” said a source . “She really had great success with her early work, but ever since the lip synching on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ she’s had something to prove. Her career literally depends on this album being successful.”
“It all started with a thought that gradually took shape. Only when a second thought comes along will I roll out my next film.”

On question of role in the film,whether his role is reflections of his personal life, he said: “No, there are no similarities.”

“For instance, in the film the character falls in love at first sight but nothing like this has ever happened to me in real life. However, I believe in what the character believes in.”

The first single from Carey’s new album, “Touch My Body,” was released ahead of the album , but other tracks from “E=MC2″ have leaked onto the Internet since the single’s release.

Industry source thinks that the culprit could be someone from the Simpson camp . “Joe Simpson has every right to be nervous about Ashlee going up against Mariah. They (the Simpson camp) are backed into a corner with this release date since they already changed it once. Their only option in fighting the Mariah machine would be to create a way to make the album’s release less newsworthy.”

Britney Spears has raked in rave reviews for her bit part in the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother”.There’s a new acting offer on the table. It is in news that the-powers-that-be behind a new London theater production of the Tennessee Williams classic “A Streetcar Named Desire” offered the pop star the role of tragic boozer Blanche DuBois.

“Britney’s been on the list for this for some time but was considered too risky until recently,”a theater person revealed. “Her appearance in (the TV show) ‘How I Met Your Mother’ changed all that. She had poise, timing and a real flair.”

“We’d wanted her for Blanche because even though she’s technically too young to play her, who else could embody this fallen Southern belle so well?” the source report. “Britney’s done it all in her career — from being desired beyond all others to facing ridicule that she can’t quite understand — pure Blanche.
“She’s living out the story, so to harness that on stage would be amazing for an audience to see — and cathartic for Britney, too.

Access Hollywood has confirmed that an arrest warrant has been issued for Shia LaBeouf.
The star of “Transformers” and “Indiana Jones” was issued a ticket in Burbank, Calif., on February 18 for unlawful smoking.

LaBeouf, 21, was supposed to appear in court . As a result, a $1,000 bench warrant was issued for LaBeouf’s arrest.

LaBeouf was allegedly smoking on the sidewalk outside of a gift shop in downtown Burbank when he was cited by police.

He is illegal to smoke “within 20 feet of all entrances, exits and open windows of buildings open to the public.” In addition, smoking is prohibited on “all sidewalks and pedestrian areas in Downtown Burbank and all areas within 5 feet.”

LaBeouf would not comment on the story.

Steve Carell felt a little emotional when he saw version of his latest animated movie. On the red carpet he told the reporters that “It’s a legendary book it’s a legendary series and you. Though, I think it turned out to be well.

In the big screen version of the Dr Seuss classic tale “Horton Hears A Who!” The star of the US version of the Office provides the voice for the Mayor of Whoville.

While seeing the final cut of the animated tale steve got emotional. The comedian said that“ I am sure that the next person will say say I balled my eyes out and was inconsolable. This has spun into I cried”. Also I got a lump in my throat.

“I kind of looked around and made sure that no one saw I was tearing up.I was sitting on my own in the theatre, but it got to me, it was good.”

In UK cinemas the film is released, March 14
