Once again a surprising development comes in the Republican presidential campaign, because vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin confirmed that her teenage daughter Bristol is pregnant.

Alaska governor Palin was selected to be John McCain’s vice president last week.

She said that 17-year-old Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than they thought.

Bristol feels her responsibilities of adulthood, and knows she has their unconditional love and support.

She continued, Bristol is planning to marry the father of the child, and she was doing so to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child.

The McCain campaign confirmed about the awareness of Bristol’s five months pregnancy before the selection of Palin, and said it did not affect McCain’s choice.
