The View’s resident conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck is denying reports she’s leaving The View for a position at Fox News Channel.

Her agent said in a statement on Thursday that while Elisabeth Hasselbeck has a great relationship with Fox News, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that she is leaving The View, because she is passionate in her beliefs and enjoys being a part of this dynamic group of women and engaging in daily conversations.

The show’s Executive Publicity Director said that Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie, executive producers of The View, consider Elisabeth to be vital to the program.

It’s well known that Democrat Rosie O’ Donnell abruptly left the The View in May 2007 after she had an on-air blow up with Hasselbeck.
