The Dark Knight continues to make movie history even after forty-five days in release.

According to the Associated Press reported, The Dark Knight which was already became the fastest flick to earn $400 million, also has become the second movie in history to gross over $500 million at the box office.

This Batman sequel has earned over $502.4 million in just over six weeks, half the time it took Titanic, which reached the half-billion mark in a little more than three months.

As the news disclosed that the Dark Knight ranks second behind Titanic’s $601 million gross.

Head of distribution at Warner Bros, Mr. Dan Fellman said that he is expecting The Dark Knight to finish at about $530 million.

He added that he keeps raising the number because it just keeps holding better than expected.

There is no way to think that The Dark Knight is the brightest light of Hollywood.

This movie, starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, has broken box-office record this weekend with $300 million mark in a mere 10 days.

According to the source,The movie grossed $75.6 million in its second week, and total North American box-office is $314,245,000.

These numbers have broken the record established by 2006’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, which hit $300 million after 16 days.

The wonderful movie “The Dark Knight” has gone few steps forward from Spider-Man 2 and Superman II, and has become the greatest superhero film of all time. From its exhilarating first frame to its bittersweet last, this movie makes a new standard for the generation.

When billionaire Bruce Wayne ( Christian Bale) starts to clean up corrupt Gotham City by becoming the caped crusader in 2005’s Batman Begins, he has the city’s bad guys on their heels.

He is joined in the fight against crime by Harvey Dent, fated to fall from grace and become the ghastly Two-Face – who is romancing Wayne’s old flame Rachel (Maggie Gyllenhaal).

Enter the Joker (Heath Ledger), in a tense state, terrifying fly in the unguent who irritates Batman into a battle for no less than the soul of Gotham and its residents. To fulfill Begins’ promise, director and cowriter Christopher Nolan has done first-rate action and suspense movie.
